Winter weather in Arkansas is pretty unpredictable. Actually, weather in Arkansas is unpredictable year-round. So when Whitney approached me about doing her bridal portraits in December I knew we had at least a 50/50 chance for beautiful weather. As it got closer to the date for bridal portraits we had crazy rain, cold weather, and 70 degree days, so I had no idea what to expect but the day of her bridal portraits was absolutely, perfectly gorgeous. And of course, the day was no match for Whitney in her exquisitely retro, lace gown. And this was my first bride ever to have a one shoulder gown--I'm in love with them now! We drove up to her hometown of Morrilton and traipsed around her parent's land and Petit Jean Mountain to capture these lovely bridal portraits. Her wedding bouquet was going to be mostly evergreen so I took the liberty of throwing a bouquet together from what I could find growing outside! Sidenote to say, I have often thought that if I didn't capture photos of weddings I would definitely want to be a floral designer! I heart Whitney is a classic southern beauty through and through and I absolutely adore her and her family! Her classic winter wedding was Saturday, so be looking for that coming soon, but in the meantime enjoy Whitney's wintry, southern bridal portraits!
Marykay + Isai | Mansfield, Texas Wedding Photographer - Aristide Event Center
I had the privilege of photographing Marykay and Isai's vows to each other on a gorgeous Texas morning this November. Not sure if I have ever mentioned that I ADORE morning weddings, but I do! Aristide Event Center was the perfect classic backdrop for them. Their day was filled with joy and their love for each other was clear to everyone around them. Not to mention they are absolutely super fun people to be around!
Marykay and Isai, thank you so much for the honor of witnessing and capturing your wedding day. I had so much fun and loved watching you guys together! God bless you both as you begin your new life together as Mr. and Mrs. Aguilar!

Ariel + Kyle | Wedding at A&M Gardens - Azle, Texas
Ariel and Kyle booked me through some of their best friends, Monica and Michael, whose wedding I shot in Little Rock this August. Word of mouth referrals are the absolute best and I knew immediately that any friend of Monica's was going to be an awesome client. I was completely right! I cannot begin to say all of the nice things about this couple. They are the epitome of good people and the proof of that is how well the people closest to them love them. I enjoyed every moment capturing their day. One of my favorite moments was their first look. In fact, it is my favorite first look EVER. And I have seen quite a few of them! Not everyone feels comfortable to be themselves on their wedding day, but there was absolutely no question how much Kyle adored his bride as tears came from the first moment he laid eyes on her ( and he couldn't keep his eyes off of her from then on). My second favorite moment of the day was when the same friend that caught Monica's bouquet in August caught Ariel's! She wasn't even going for it either, it made a bee line straight to her and her reaction was absolutely precious!
Ariel and Kyle, thank you so much for allowing me this joy of serving you both and your families on your wedding day. Thank you for being amazing clients and thank you for forgiving me every time I called you the wrong names! Much love to you both, and God bless you and your new life together!

Big shoutout to Jessica Sherrill for assisting me throughout the day and capturing several of the beautiful moments seen above! <3
Shannan + Jeffrey | Arkansas Engagement Photographer
Shannan and Jeffrey can basically be described in one word: joy. Joy practically pours from them, in their speech, their actions, and their lives. It is said joy is contagious and I have to agree, spending time with them definitely leaves you smiling! I haven't known them very long but I was so excited to be able to take their engagement portraits and true to their nature, we had a ton of fun complete with a powder paint battle to end the evening. Shannan and Jeffrey, thank you so much for not only this opportunity but your friendship, I had so much fun capturing this season of your lives! <3

Whitney + Daniel Petit Jean Engagement Session | Arkansas Engagement Photographer
I have had the privilege to know Whitney for about 3 years now, and I am so honored to be able to share her joy as she becomes Mrs. Hamilton! I actually met Daniel as a fellow vendor at our mutual friend Allix's wedding, so it's pretty much a small world! Whitney is from Morrilton so it was only fitting that we go to Petit Jean State Park for their engagement session, AND we even went to the spot where Daniel proposed. I couldn't be happier for these two--except for the fact that she is moving to Missouri--but even with that, Daniel is so perfect for her that everyone knows it is just the absolute best thing. I can't wait for their wintry wedding, this January! Here are just a handful of my favorites from their session!
